Villa Vithania, a villa with a long history.
“There is something special about staying in a heritage listed building.”
The villa is a beautifully built stone structure, dating from the 1930ies, which stands in private land of 5,000 square metres.
It shares the same architectural style as the two neighbouring villas, all three of which have played an integral part in the history of Aegina. The Villa has been heritage listed.
After several changes in its ownership and its functions, Villa Vithania has now been fully renovated, the work having been completed in 2013. Every care has been taken to respect its history and the style of the period it represents. At the same time, all the modern facilities have been added to the villa, to provide full comfort to its guests.
It is now available to host visitors from all over the world. The calm atmosphere and the location of the villa, make it an ideal holiday home for families, and friends.
The location of Villa Vithania is really privileged.
The Villa is located on the southern coastal road of the island, and lies only five hundred metres away from Aegina Town and its port.
It is within easy walking distance of the town centre with its restaurants, cafés, vibrant market and other facilities, while the open air cinema ‘Akrogiali’ is situated a few metres away.
The Villa stands just twenty metres away from the sea, separated from the water by the road. The residents of the villa can enjoy the enchanting view of the Saronic Bay spread out in front of them. They can also enjoy the comfort and tranquility of the area around the house (5,000 square metres of garden).
Villa Vithania consists of two floors of approximately 200 square meters each.
Each floor has its own independent entrance, but there is also an interior staircase which connects the two floors.
The villa is tastefully furnished and great effort has been made by the owners to maintain its period style, without its lacking any of the comforts offered by modern technology. All rooms are fully air-conditioned / heated, and hot water is available continuously. The entire interior of the villa has a non-smoking policy.
The upper floor consists of three bedrooms, two of which offer a breathtaking view of the Saronic Bay and its magnificent sunsets. The third bedroom has windows which overlook the garden of the villa. Each bedroom has a comfortable king size double bed (except one which offers a queen size bed), a large wardrobe and a writing desk. There is also a living room, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, a large bathroom which includes a bath with shower, and a separate WC.
The upper floor has two large balconies, one at the entrance of the house, with spectacular views across the blue Aegean Sea and a second one facing the back garden of the villa, with its tall palm trees.
The lower floor also consists of three bedrooms, each with a king size bed, a large wardrobe and a writing desk. There is a spacious living room divided into two sections, a fully equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with both a bath and shower and two separate WCs.
From the living room there is direct access to the patio areas outside, shaded by the palm trees.
There is a private swimming pool in the garden, with a special section for young children. Sun beds with side tables are located around the pool, in addition to dining tables and chairs.
The garden has a wide variety of trees including many pistachio trees, the ‘trademark’ of the island.
There is also a wide range of flowers and bushes and a number of palm trees, which make the garden even more beautiful.
The garden of the villa can accommodate small pets, for those who cannot be separated from their beloved animals during their holidays, provided the pets have been properly trained, so as to minimise the risk of complaints from the neighbours.
In the grounds of the villa there are two small buildings. One of these is a guesthouse (not included in the price), the second building is used for the organizational needs of the villa.
